For Friday, July 4th
- Registration for everyone from 11:00A.M. to 6:00P.M.
(at the log cabin in Greenland). The log cabin will display pictures,
stories, etc. about Greenland now and in the past.
- Family and friends social time - fun and games - All
Day.
- Pasties will be available and served near the new
pavilion starting at 1:00 P.M. sponsored by 'Syl's Café'.
- Family and friends baseball tournaments at the ball
field in Greenland.
- Craft fairs will be set up along Plank Road in
Greenland.
- Stock car races will start at 7:00P.M. at the
Adventure Mountain race track.
- A barbecue at the Pit Stop Shop on Highway M38 in
Greenland featured by: 'Simple Jerry's Barbecue Team' before the races
and entertainment after the races.
- Music will be at Beer Belly Bobs on Plank Road in
Greenland.
- The Adventure Mining Company shuttle will be
available for tours - ALL DAY.
For Saturday, July 5th
- Sign up for races: - runs and walks
will be directed by 'Fast Eddie'. Sign up at the log cabin at 8:00 A.M.
and races will begins at 9:30. There will be a one-mile run or walk,
and a 5K run for adults. There will also be a 50-yard dash for the kids
(ages: 2 to 5), and a ¼-mile run (ages 6 to 10).
- The parade will begin at 1:00P.M.
starting at the Ontonagon County Fair grounds and pass Stenson Park in
Greenland and back up to the fairgrounds.
- Family and friends baseball tournaments
at the ball field in Greenland will continue.
- A community picnic will take place
at the new pavilion in Stenson Park after the parade featuring food by
'Simple Jerry's Barbecue Team'.
- Craft fairs will be set up along
Plank Road in Greenland.
- Family and friends social time -
fun and games - All Day.
- A street dance will start at
7:30P.M. with music by 'Easy Money' on the main street near the log
cabin.
- Fireworks start at dark at the ball diamond in
Greenland.
- The Adventure Mining Company shuttle
will be available for tours - ALL DAY.
For Sunday, July 6th
- A pancake breakfast will be at the
Methodist Church on the Ridge Road in Greenland from 7:00 to 11:00A.M.
- There will be music at noon at the
new pavilion by Ray and Vi Wiitala of Toivola.
- Birthday cake and coffee will be
served at 1:00P.M. at the new pavilion honoring Greenland's 150 years
- Finishing up family and friends baseball
tournaments at the ball field in Greenland will continue.
- Craft fairs will be set up along
Plank Road in Greenland.
- The drawings for the raffles will
be held at the log cabin starting at 3:00P.M. with $500 for first place,
$300 for second place, $100 for third and fourth places; also drawings
for a wagon wheel rag-rug, a beautiful quilt, a hand painted handheld
saw and a cribbage board of the 150th celebration.
- The Adventure Mining Company shuttle
will be available for tours - ALL DAY.
